Hello Creatives!!

New Abstract Painting

Hello Reader,

Welcome back to Occipicco Art community. :) I want to share with you my latest painting of Dream Catcher series; "Dream Catcher: Masquerade Ball".

This painting depictes having fun at the beach park. When I think of a masquerade ball, my first thought is celebrating great moments with people who have positive energy. Capture great moments in nature will keep you focused and letting go. I am focusing on brush strokes doing the work for me. Trusting the process as I create textures and patterns using only three colors.

After I started working on this painting, I gained more inspiration when I was walking along the beach shore with my friends north of Seattle; feeling refreshed with a clearier focus. It was nice to step outside of the city for a weekend where there is nothing but peace and quiet. Sometimes, we are so caught up with our daily routine like going to work, come home running errands, going to bed and repeat the next day. By stepping away for a moment is a reminder that you are a step closer to complete your current art piece. Most of us think that if we step way from creating artwork for a moment is a sign of giving up on art, but it's not true. As a creative, we are learning to let go of trying to look for a result and focus on the process. Let us enbrace our unique style and continue exploring what inspires us to create. I remember how I felt when I walking on the beach shore; this is why I moved to Seattle, WA in the first place. What caught my attention was the beauty of nature; the views of mountains, forests, and bodies of water surrounding the city.

I want to know what inspires you to create your artwork. Is it by traveling in your local area, abroad, or going to art musuems, etc. What is it that inside of you that has a spark in order for you to create?

Thank you for joining my newsletter. I hope you will enjoy this latest Dream Catcher Series painting so far!!
